Lamborghini Debuts Temerario Super Sports Car

Hybrid Successor To The Iconic Huracán

Automobili Lamborghini becomes the first luxury automotive company to hybridize a full product range

Sant’Agata Bolognese/Carmel-By-The-Sea, 17 August 2024 – Automobili Lamborghini has introduced the Temerario, a new twin-turbo V8 hybrid super sports car, at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering during Monterey Car Week in California. The Temerario, succeeding the Huracán, sets a new standard in the super sports car segment with a power output of 920 CV, a top speed exceeding 210 mph (over 340 km/h), and an acceleration from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 2.7 seconds. This vehicle is Lamborghini’s second High-Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV). It marks the third phase of the company’s electrification strategy, completing the hybridization of Lamborghini’s lineup following the Revuelto and Urus SE.

The Temerario succeeds the Lamborghini Huracán, which debuted in 2014 and became the best-selling super sports car in the history of the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based carmaker. Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, stated, “Every new Lamborghini must surpass its predecessors in performance.” The Temerario, a new hybrid plug-in, sets a new standard in performance, sportiness, and driving pleasure. It is the first and only production super sports car engine capable of reaching 10,000 rpm—a feat usually reserved for motorsports.

“With the Temerario, we’ve surpassed our expectations for what a mid-engine sports car can achieve in both performance and design,” said Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. “The Temerario completes the next chapter in our Direzione Cor Tauri plan by hybridizing our entire product line, while we continue developing our full electric model set to debut at the end of the decade.”

Alongside the Temerario, Lamborghini’s full hybrid lineup was showcased at the annual automotive event, including the flagship Revuelto and the super SUV Urus SE. The Revuelto boasts a 6.5-liter V12 mid-engine with 1,015 CV and a top speed of 217 mph (over 350 km/h). The Urus SE features a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine, delivering a total output of 800 CV and a top speed of 194 mph (312 km/h).

In addition to its global unveiling, the Temerario made its virtual debut in the Lamborghini Lab, the official design and driving experience on Roblox, created by Automobili Lamborghini to inspire new generations. In this virtual realm, you can customize your Temerario using colors and options from Lamborghini’s Ad Personam studio. Experience unmatched performance by taking your personalized supercar on the track, competing with friends and challengers worldwide.
